This last week, I flew out to Illinois. One of my best friend’s was leading a 3-day end-of-summer / back-to school event at his church, and they invited me to speak.

I based my messages off the concepts from Fuller Youth Institute’s 3 Big Questions research and book, where they talk about the questions all students are asking:

  • Who am I?
  • Where do I fit?
  • What difference can I make?

So day 1 was about our identity in Christ, day 2 was about belonging to Christ’s body, and day 3 was about our God-given purpose.

I was also able to go to their local high school and pray for the students, teachers, and staff as a part of our “Footprints and Funds” initiative, which was really fun!

It’s a youth group and church that has been through some big struggles over the last few years (on top of the pandemic), but after spending time with them all, I am very hopeful. They just hired a new youth pastor, who is really excited and ready to jump in and make an impact. Please join me in praying for them.
