In August 2001, I packed up much of my belongings, moved to central Illinois, and started my first year of college. While I had been a kids and student ministry volunteer while in high school, this was the first time I would be seeking our opportunities on my own. Through my six years in that area, I was able to serve in a number of capacities. And during a recent speaking trip to Illinois, I had the opportunity to meet up with several people to share about my new ministry with National Network of Youth Ministries.

Ever since God made it clear this was my next step (to go full-time with NNYM), I’ve been meeting with individuals, churches, and groups to share my vision for this ministry and ask people to partner with me. And while the prayer and financial support have been amazing, the conversations are also a huge blessing.

One of the most overwhelming times was on that Sunday afternoon, standing in a coffee shop run by a former student, looking out over a crowd of friends, family members, former students, parents of students, and mentors. Right as soon as I was about to start talking, a huge feeling overtook me. All the sudden, I saw what God had set up many years ago. I still don’t know why He would choose me, but I am so grateful He has! And it was really cool to see some things come full circle in that moment.

If you are interested in supporting my ministry, please contact me. I’d love to share more about it and the ways you can join my team!!
