One of our strongest and biggest youth ministry networks in Colorado is the one surrounding Colorado Winter Camps. This collaborative event takes place over 6 weekends in January and February. In 2024, we plan to have 3 middle school camps, 2 high school camps, and 1 young adult camp. In total, we’ll have around 2500-3000 teenagers attend winter camp from about 45 different Colorado churches.
Not only do I love the event, I love the heart of what it represents. These churches represent many different denominations and cultures, but they come together for one purpose: to make Jesus known among Colorado teenagers. And they do it with such excellence that it often feels like a camp put on by a professional camp organization rather than the collaborative effort of a bunch of youth pastors.
We just had our first planning meeting this past week, and I’m incredibly excited about how God is moving and what He plans to do this upcoming year. But I’m also excited about the conversations that I’ve been able to have with youth pastors at this state-wide network. Please join me in praying for camp but also pray that these youth pastors will networks in their local communities as well.
