As many of you know, I’ve been serving part-time at a church in town for the last 6 months, and I’ve been helping a lot with local high school clubs. So on top of all the graduates we already knew from our last church, my wife and I were quite busy this year with graduations and parties. We also hosted another blessing event for the graduates and families, which I think marks the 10th time we’ve done an event like this, and it’s one of my favorite things I do in youth ministry! (If you want to learn more about what this event is all about, check out episode 128 of my podcast, Student Ministry Connection.)
I also got the opportunity to preach recently, on Pentecost Sunday. So in addition to talking about the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church (Acts 2), I also shared more about what the Holy Spirit has done in my life, and why I’m so passionate about reaching the next generation and caring for other youth leaders.
