This past week, I had the opportunity to join several churches and speak at Mission Indy, a service-based camp in the Indianapolis area. Churches from Indiana, Illinois, and North Carolina came together to serve local mission partners and focus on Hebrews 12:1-3 all week long, as our theme was “Run Free.” Each night, Monday-Friday, I spoke on a different aspect of that passage: Throw Off Everything that Hinders, Discard Sin, Persevere, Fix our Eyes, and Don’t Grow Weary. Several students and leaders said they enjoyed what I shared and were impacted by what God said through me. Thank you so much for your prayers!
I also had some time during the day to connect with several people in the area. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I saw 2 NNYM coworkers, which is always great to see them in real-life rather than a Zoom box on a computer screen. I also got to see a longtime friend who has been going through some tough stuff in ministry the last couple years, and it was good to see him doing well. And I got to see my parents for a few hours on top of seeing a good friend and mentor on Friday. On top of all that, I got to serve alongside one of my former youth pastors, who is now the Director of Operations for Mission Indy.
Please join me in praying for the remaining weeks of their programming this summer and for all the students and leaders who will participate. May God use it all for His glory and to set up these youth groups for even more great work when they get back home!
