I was so encouraged by our local network in Longmont this month. As we ate lunch and shared updates from our individual churches, it became so evident that we are in this together. When I shared a bit about another network in our state, they were totally into it. When we talked about a future training we want to host for all of our volunteer leaders, we quickly picked a date. And when I informed them that there are 12,000 teenagers in our community who need to hear about Jesus, we prayed together.
Our Colorado Winter Camps network is also off and running, as the nearly 50 participating churches continue planning for three middle school and two high school weekends of camp in January and February 2025.
At this point, most of the networks in Colorado have met at least once, and a few new networks are planning for their first meeting. It’s been great to begin visiting each of them and to encourage the local coordinators. I’ve also been meeting with several new youth pastors who have moved into my local community and around the state. Please continue to pray for all of these interactions—that God will increase our collaboration.
We are also planning our very first meeting for network leaders in our state! Please pray we are able to land on a date this November, that everyone can attend, and that it will be very beneficial to everyone as we support each other and dream about the future of collaborative youth ministry in Colorado.
