I was just down in Arvada, CO, last night to witness 7 local youth ministries come together for an area youth worship night. They brought in 118 students from 37 area schools, saw several students say yes for the first time to following Jesus, and nearly every student in the room ended the night stating this pledge before God:
“I am a follower of Jesus. I am not the next generation. My time is now. Through the power of God’s spirit within me, I will share Jesus with my friends and recruit others to join me. I will be a part of a community that cares about the broken, the outcasts, and the lost. I won’t stop until all 14,000 students in our cities hear the Gospel from a friend.”
Please join me in praying for the students in Colorado and around our country. May God continue stirring something in their minds and hearts, and may they say yes to following Jesus wherever He asks them to go, being His witnesses in their Jerusalem and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)!
