How does one show gratitude? I’m sure you can think of various ways. What pops in my head are the faces of the people who receive food from our food pantry every other week. I am usually there to help carry their bags/boxes. As I walk out with them, I ask how they are doing. They always react with grateful hearts. I don’t know how many of them have a relationship with God, but to see Him working in their lives is awesome! I’ve been able to pray with people, explain what we do in the church, and invite several of them to join RCC or attend some of our activities. Some of them have been to food pantries before, while others are brand new and somewhat embarrassed. I’ve also had the opportunity to explain the food pantry to a couple onlookers, who were really grateful for what we are doing. I also pray that these are good seeds that are planted for God.

I then think about my own life. How often do I show gratitude toward God and what He’s done for me? Do I only show it in the good times? Do I always go back to thank Him when He answers a prayer, even if it is smaller?

How do I do at showing gratitude to others? I feel like I do a good job, but then I see others who do this so much better. Because of this, I say the following…  For those who have supported me through the years, thank you! For those who have supported me financially this past year, thank you! For those of you who have helped with our upcoming wedding in so many ways, beyond the normal call of duty, thank you! For those who have supported me through prayer, thank you! For all the amazing things you’ve done for me, thank you so much!!  Thank you for letting God work through you!
