Over the years, The Orange Conference has become something I look forward to attending for many reasons. Near the top of that list is what I get to learn from others who are further along that me. And while I gain a lot of motivation from the main sessions, the breakout workshops are where I grow the most by digging into a specific area of ministry for a bit with an experienced leader.
A bonus that many people do not know about is the pre-conference. It has taken different forms over the years, but it typically includes a full day of additional workshops for those who want more from their OC experience. The last few years have been called “YouLead Day,” and included four workshops. This year, Orange is changing it up (very fitting with this year’s theme of change) with a new name, “Orange Labs,” and new purpose.
The name should sound familiar, as Orange Labs were introduced during the last Orange Tour. Instead of individual workshops, attendees pay an additional $139 and choose from 11 deep-dive masterclass options that run from 9:30am until 4:00pm. Just imagine getting around six hours, broken into four interactive sessions, on a specific area of ministry like communication, engaging preteens, healthy culture, volunteers, special needs, parent strategy, next gen strategy, VBS, community engagement, marriage, etc.
The main event breakouts will all happen on Thursday, which give attendees over 70 options spread out over four time-slots.

I will once again be joining the Orange Blogger team for the 2020 conference. Our goal is to cover as much of the event and pass on our notes, insights, and summaries to you all. Whether you are attending or not, we hope we can help you grow as we grow.
Below are all the breakouts I will be attending this year:
