Ryan Leak had the opportunity to start off Youth Ministry Exchange 2020. Going off the theme of YMX, Here to Play, his talk was titled, “I’m here to play so I can see what’s possible.”
Ryan started by pointing out that we often talk a lot about not being able to make it through hard times, especially in light of the upcoming presidential election. He continued by reminding us that we are a lot more resilient than we think.
He went on to point out that God isn’t confined to our 365 day calendar. We need to hold on. God has things under control.
Ryan wrapped up by providing some context for Hebrews 10:23-25.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The church was struggling to find safe locations to meet. When it became difficult to do church the way they wanted to, they became creative to meet the needs of the ones around them.
We have to stay in the game, so we can see what is possible.
