On May 12, I flew out to Boston for my second support-raising trip—first where this was the primary goal of the trip, though. The first-leg of my trip from Denver was delayed a bit, but not nearly as much as the second. I ended up taking off from Dallas at the same time I was originally planning to land in Boston. One of my former students was very gracious to pick me up in the middle of the night and then house me for the week, even letting me borrow his car to drive to some meetings.

It was so great to see many old friends I hadn’t seen since I moved. Sunday, at church, it was an amazing reunion with lots of former students, teammates, and parents. Monday was another big day with a meeting in the morning with another former student and then an event that evening, hosted by my former church, with several in attendance. I was also honored to have two really good friends speak at the event, who each represent New England-based ministries that I love. Each of them were so incredibly kind, speaking highly of me but also my ministry with National Network of Youth Ministries. All the refreshments were also taken care of by a partnering ministry The next day, I had a couple more meetings and then got ready to head back home.
Looking back over the 20+ years of my ministry “career,” it’s been awesome to see how God has allowed me to serve Him in three distinct areas of the country. Little did I know, He was not simply using me in those areas but it also seems like He was preparing me for a role in a national ministry. And now, it really excites me to think about having partners in ministry all over the country!
