One of our newest youth ministry networks in Colorado has hit the ground running. While the Arvada-area group started just 4 months ago, they have been meeting regularly and already have a big vision.

It all started with the faithful and dedicated youth leaders at Storyline Church. After doing some research, they discovered there are approximately 14,000 teenagers in their community who have not yet experienced the love and hope of Jesus. So these leaders decided to take on that challenge, but they knew there was no way they could do it on their own.

Once the network began in the fall of 2023, the 14,000 vision quickly moved from a church-vision to a network-vision. Together, perhaps they actually can reach all 14,000 of those students.

The number 14,000 is also a pretty important number in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. They are our tallest mountains, and people are often trying to conquer a 14’er. In fact, many people set a goal of hiking all of them in their lifetime. And so this network has declared their own 14’er. Together, they will climb this mountain and reach all the teenagers in their community.

If you’ve not connected with other youth leaders in your area, I’d love to help. And if you need help discovering the number of schools and teenagers in your community, I can also help with that. Feel free to reach out to me or anyone at National Network of Youth Ministries!
