I know, I know.  Most of you are probably thinking, “It’s about time he writes a new blog.”  Well, I have been quite busy with the ministry lately that I have put other things on hold — like this blog.  Sorry for all you out there that actually look forward to new posts.

So, as I said, life has been quite hectic lately.  I am in the process of planning a New Year’s Eve party for the students, getting ready to plan next semester and the summer, finishing up Youth Group for this semester, getting to know the students and others in the church, and many other things that escape me at the moment.  Needless to say I need your prayers.  It is crazy how overwhelming life gets sometimes.  One day you are going along trying to keep up and get ahead, and the next thing you know, you are over your head with deadlines, plans, and who knows what.  Those are the times that I am sure God laughs at us.  Why do I say this?  Because those are the times I realize I cannot do it on my own.  I need Him.  I have realized this more than ever lately.  In the middle of new ministries, moving away from home, and trying to finish a thesis, I NEED God.  It is impossible to do it on my own.

In other news…  I went to New York City for the first time ever yesterday.  (Yes, that is me with Rupert, the guy from the “Hello Deli” that David Letterman visits sometimes on his show.)  It was so big, and I was basically only in Manhattan.  I cannot wait until I can go again and see even more of this humungous city.  I got lots of pictures.  If fact, if you have me on Facebook, you can see some of them there.  Other than that, I’m pretty excited about the Youth Christmas party, my birthday, Christmas, coming home for a bit, and this Youth New Year’s Eve party.  In fact, it is hard to believe that is all happening this month.

It is beginning to get pretty cold here in New England.  We got snow a couple weeks ago, and they are calling for quite a bit of snow tomorrow night through Tuesday.  I’m not too excited about this, but the great thing is that I will probably be able to go skiing soon.  And I found some amazing “Black Friday” deals on ski poles, a helmet, and wool socks — so I’m all ready.

Please keep praying for me as I am continuing to transition.  It will be great when I finally find a more permanent place to live and can begin to call a place “home.”  I plan on looking more seriously around the beginning of the new year.
