This blog is titled “Back at Home” for 2 reasons.  The first is because I am back in New Hampshire (my new home) after a night in Chicago.  After a lot of prayers, I was able to get on the earliest flight back to Manchester, NH, this morning.  I arrived at 11:30am (Eastern time).  Thanks for all your prayers.  The bad part is that I missed church — the first time in as long as I can remember.  The good news is that I was able to get back in time for the Youth Group pool party.

The second reason this is titled “Back at Home,” is because I wanted to recollect on my time in Southern IL (my first home).  It was really cool to serve alongside some of my friends and family again.  I really enjoyed having my mom at camp with me.  It is great seeing her interact with the children.  We even got to share in a special moment where she was the one who talked with the girl I baptized on Wednesday.  She was the one who asked her questions and made sure she was ready for the baptism.  In fact, the girl has been in our family group the last two years.  It was also really good to spend time with good friends.  Thursday night, I sat around playing/singing music and then played a couple video games with some amazing friends.  It is definitely a night I wish could have been longer!  Then, the last 2 days of my trip, I was able to visit with one of my great-grandmas and also spend some quality time with my little cousin.  Beyond the trip being a good fundraising trip (still waiting for the final results), it was great to be around home again!
