Sam Collier is a great leader. Today at the Orange Conference 2019, he spoke about the importance of our blindspots, saying what we don’t know can hurt us.

Check out this quick summary of what he said:

He started off with a confession: “I haven’t always been self-aware. And I had some issues that were causing problems that I didn’t know about. It wasn’t until some friends came around me and challenged me.”

3 Lessons I learned from some friends:

  1. You can’t talk to old people that way.
  2. Sometimes you just have to get out of the way.
  3. You’re not allowed to teach your wife anything.

Do you think you also hold others to a high standard like I do myself?

Blindspots: Something negative that you do that impacts other people or you the you don’t see.

What are your blindspots?

What leaders are in your life that you’ve allowed to speak into your life to show you those blindspots and call you to something higher?

Don’t get so focused on your public image that you miss your personal issues.

If you can focus on this, you and your ministry will be stronger!
